Standing Stone/BOTR rifle range

Our scouts show what video game WWII games can do for your sharpshooting skills. Thanks to the instructors at Bend in the River rifle range for their help teaching our scouts safe handling with firearms and a bow. The competition-rated BB range, .22 rifles, archery range, and skeet shooting with shotguns were very popular, but nothing brought a smile to their faces like an AR-15. Squirrels of Brentwood, be afraid.

Troop 8 enjoyed the warm lodges, great rifle/shotgun range, and ER hospitality at Standing Stone State park. The scouts huddle to develop a cheer to thank Mr. Rice and all the ASMs who organized our merit badge work. Eric smiles as he participates in real first aid. And the chemistry merit badge crew offers to try an experiment involving imploding a tin can.

At 7 degrees outdoors, indoor merit badges seemed very popular this weekend. While Bryan takes on a plumbing poject and Collin does woodworking, the salesmanship crew have a laugh pitching their ideas to Mr. Shannon.
