Boxwell Summer Camp 2010 - Part 2

Now that Camp Craig Campsite #6 seems like home away from home, it seems totally normal to dance around the campfire like indian braves, climb the trees like Tarzan, shoot black powder rifles, and let the staff surround you and scream Happy Birthday to you. We also let the parents come enjoy the dining hall food, but they missed the Pokemon Arena wars. Maybe next year...

Boxwell Summer Camp 2010

Troop 8 descended upon Craig Site #6 again this year with over 60 happy campers. Dodgeball, catching fish, COPE and high ropes climbing, cornhole, Presidents, unlimited icees, the Iceberg, and Staff Hunt kept getting in the way of Greenbar and merit badges. They arrive at camp boys; they leave camp suntanned, tired boys. With a lot of new personal accomplishments.

Shiloh Cycling

As some scouts hiked 10 and 20 miles through the historic battlefield at Shiloh, the rest of our guys biked 50 miles. Who says you can't get kids to exercise?

April Grimes Canoeing/Kayaking

No Spring is complete without a nice paddle down the Buffalo River. Karl showed the first year scouts how to 'bend' the river while his dad builds a spirit-lifting fire on a scenic bank.
