March backpacking: Fiery Gizzard

Scouts from Troop 8 prepared for Philmont this summer by hiking the difficult Fiery Gizzard trail with full packs. While it wasn't at 12,000 feet, you can't find a tougher backpacking adventure in Middle Tennessee. And the waterfalls are wonderful.
